Did You Know That You Can Search Library Collections

Across Pennsylvania - From Your Home Internet Connection?

This Tutorial Will Show You How!

A. Log onto the internet, and go to the Access PA website:

www.accesspa.state.pa.us

Click on “Search the Database” and it will open up a map of PA showing all counties.

Let’s search the entire state.

B. Click on the state symbol at the top of the graphic.

C. Click on “All Libraries”.

D.  You can search by Title, Author, or for an EXACT match, use the ISBN number…the PARID website list of RID recommended materials includes the ISBN number for the books that have them

E.  . For example, here is a screen shot of the ISBN entry page:

this is the result of the search:

F.  Next, Access PA will let you know where your materials were found - click the link.

G.  If you click on the library links, a window will open up, giving you information on how to contact the library. Take it to your local library and they will order the book for you!

That’s all there is to it - search for video’s, DVD’s, textbooks, journals - whatever! This collection includes study materials for the RID and NIC tests, and there is no charge to use Access PA to request materials from other parts of the state through your local library.

Happy Hunting from PARID and ~
