To join PARID please mail a copy of our membership form to the address on the form along with your dues. Membership forms are also available from Beth, or any Board member, if you cannot download them.

Timeline:

*         PARID follows a fiscal year from July 1st to June 30th.

 

*         New members may join at any time, but dues cannot be pro-rated.

 

Categories:

*         Voting Member:

                  a) RID certified                                

                  b) Associate Member (non-certified interpreter)

                                    Both require current membership in RID.

 

*         Non-voting Member

                  a) Student member (currently enrolled in an ITP)        

                  b) Supporting Member (individual who supports PARID)       

                  c) Organizational/Institutional Member (group that supports PARID)

 

*         RID bylaws require membership to a state affiliate chapter (i.e. PARID) in order to vote at national conferences.

 

Dues:

 

*         2005-2006 annual dues are $25.00,

                  - or choose optional dual membership $15.00 PARID dues plus district chapter dues. See the membership form for district chapter dues.

*Contact Marsh Affinity Group Services for more information on insurance at 800.503.9230.  They offer disability insurance and professional liability insurance. 

 

*The Signature Group offers the Dental, Vision, Pharmacy plan as well as the legal services and auto club.  For the dental, etc. call 800.308.1292; for legal services, call 800.323.4620 and for the auto club, call 800.825.2990.

 

*Mellon Mortgage offers the mortgage saving plan (800.522.7516).

 

Plans for Self-Employed Individuals:

The National Association for the Self Employed offers many benefits, including health insurance. They have two levels of membership.
