Jeffery holds a BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, an MS in ASL-English Interpreting Pedagogy from the University of North Florida, and a graduate certificate in Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing from Missouri State University. He is currently enrolled in the Ed.D. program in Higher Education Leadership at Western Carolina University. Jeffery has over 30 years of interpreting experience. He holds NIC certification, a full interpreting license in North Carolina, the Hub-CMI certification from the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters, and an EIPA rating of 4.1 (2008). Beyond his interpreting career, Jeffery has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of interpreters. Since August 2020, he has served as the Coordinator of the Interpreter Preparation Program at Western Piedmont Community College in Morganton, NC. In addition to this role, he currently serves as Chair of the NCCCS Interpreter Education Faculty Organization in the NC Community College System. Jeffery remains actively engaged in the field as a workshop presenter and mentor, sharing his expertise with both aspiring and experienced interpreters.
